Grupo Agrotecnologia is intalled in PITA.

Grupo Agrotecnologia starts 2018 with an ambitious plan for international growth. In Spain, Grupo Agrotecnologia will have new offices in strategic areas, such as Almeria, where recently it has been installed in the Pitágoras building in the PITA Science and Technology Park.
Antonio Puertas Bonachela is the person responsible of the new industrial spin off. This new company of the group will work in three main areas: agriculture, pharmaceuticals and food.
Each area will carry out research into the creation of new products. In pharmaceuticals, research will be carried out into new ingredients for the industry. In food, new food complexes will be prepared. All of this generates added value “in a search for excellence”, as Bonachela says.
But Grupo Agrotecnologia is much more. Its large R&D&I lines focus on biostimulants, biofertilizers and biopesticides.
The group is immersed in various projects to reduce the impact of climate change and supports sustainability in the protection of the crops. Puertas Bonachela says “the R&D&I department of Grupo Agrotecnologia makes the world its own laboratory, creating synergies with leading public and private research entities all over the world. We search for microorganisms, vegetable extracts, we isolate molecules of interest to scale them and thereby extract products”
